- African-Americans who have been admitted to Ivy Tech Community College Indiana, IUPUI, Martin University
- High school graduate or a GED Recipient
- Residents of Marion County
- Completed FAFSA for academic year of enrollment
- Completed Application Packet
The Selection Process
- The Bowen Scholars Committee will review all applications received by the deadline. Applications will be notified at least one month prior to the beginning of the semester.
- Eligibility for federal and state financial aid will be determined prior to awarding the Bowen Scholarship.
- Bowen Scholars must maintain a minimum of a cumulative 2.3 GPA for continuation in the program.
- Preference will be given to financial need as determined by FAFSA
- Scholarships are renewable for a maximum of 8 semesters as long as minimum GPA of 2.3 is maintained.

What does the BFF Scholarship cover?
- The Bowen Family Foundation, Inc. provides scholarships to underrepresented individuals living in Marion County, Indiana and its surrounding counties. The scholarships are augmented with wrap around services to enhance the student’s experience and encourage retention. Participation in these wrap around services is a requirement of each student.
What are the requirements to be a BFF Scholar?
- Be a member of an underrepresented community
- Resident of Marion County and surrounding counties
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Maintain a 2.3 Cum GPA
- Completed FAFSA
- Preference given to financial need
- Any additional requirements set by partners

Am I eligible for Bowen Family Foundation Scholarships?
- Yes, if you are a member of an underrepresented community and meet the basic requirements of the foundation. Age is not a requirement. The Foundation has recipients of all ages.
